JULY 8TH – Students gathered in central Israel to worship in three different languages! Though the event was largely comprised of international students from all over the world, many students have also studied local languages such as Hebrew and Arabic. Even without this language background, students were able to follow along with Arabic & Hebrew transliterated lyrics as well as songs in English.
The evening began with a time of reflection as FCSI staff Kevin invited students to surrender the time to Jesus. Students read through Scripture passages between three sets of music led by Kevin’s wife Lavinia and an international student. After several sets of songs and prayer, students were invited to eat rugelach (a sweet pastry) from a local bakery and visit together. The evening was a great encouragement to everyone!
