Making Disciples

Scripture Engagement
At the heart of Scripture engagement lies a relationship. Scripture engagement involves listening and responding to God, as He uses Scripture to connect with us through the work of the Holy Spirit. And so, we come with the openness to listen, to be changed, and to be given our place as active participants in God’s story with this world. Our priority is to encourage our students to develop a heart for Christ through His word and the skills to interpret Scripture faithfully.
Students are taught how to study the Bible in groups and individually using the Inductive Method: Observe, Interpret, Apply (OIA). Students’ Bible study skills are sharpened through:
• Manuscript Bible study conferences
• Bible study groups on campuses
• Trainings in leading Bible study and skills for faithful interpretation
We work to ensure that all our programs (conferences and other events) have a clear Biblical basis, and that students and staff develop a heart for Christ through His word and the skills to interpret Scripture faithfully.
Conferences
FCSI conferences provide an excellent way for believing students in Israel to be encouraged into living a lifestyle of Scripture engagement – interacting with the Living God through his written Word.
FCSI conferences allow students from all over Israel to come together – fostering unity between our diverse student groups. Conferences serve as a space for discipleship, fellowship between different student groups, networking, training, and more.
FCSI holds multiple conferences through the school year:
• Fall conferences: Fall conferences are typically language specific (Hebrew-speaking, Arabic-speaking, etc.) and focused on relevant topics.
• Bible Study Conference: Usually held towards the beginning of the second semester. Focused on helping students learn how to study the Word for themselves, using the inductive Bible study method.
• Joint Conference: Usually held towards the end of the second semester and provide Messianic, Arab Christian, and International Christian students with a time to gather for worship, teaching, and fellowship.
• Student Training Conference: Held during September, to equip student leaders with the training they need to lead groups and become better leaders. This conference kicks off the beginning of the training program that we hold for our student leaders throughout the rest of the year.

Student Groups
Our student groups are at the core of all that we do in FCSI.
Israel is an amazingly diverse place, and students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. We have Arabic and Jewish students, as well as international students who come here from all over the world to study. Our ministry is unique in that we focus on creating unity between different language groups and cultures within Israel as we meet and engage in Scripture and fellowship.
Our vision is to have thriving student groups on every campus across Israel. At their core, our student groups are a community of disciples, built together around the Scriptures to bring a gospel witness to their campus and beyond. Studying the Scriptures together equips our students to be “salt” and “light” (Matthew 5:13-16) in their circles of influence.
Our groups are student-led, meaning students have ownership in all areas of the ministry, from planning large events to leading small Bible studies. One of the roles of staff is to come alongside the students, supporting them, encouraging them, and facilitating resources and training.
We’re thankful that our student groups are growing all the time! There are groups spread out over all of Israel, so please feel free to join wherever you are.
We have different groups from various backgrounds, and our groups function in different languages to best suit the needs of our students. Click here to find a group near you!
Developing Leaders

Graduates Ministry
Our graduates understand the joys and challenges of living out their faith in the working world. The focus of graduate ministry is helping them continue walking with Jesus in the world after university and equipping them to become a Christian influence in their workplaces, professions, and families. Every year students leave our student groups and have the potential to bring significant Christian influence into our societies for 40 years of working life.
FCSI does ministry specifically to and for graduates so they are empowered and supported to be salt and light in the workplace and find community with each other.
There is always an invitation to include graduates in the ministry with students. This can include mentorship, helping with events, becoming seminar speakers, praying for the ministry, and becoming financial partners.
Leadership Development
As a student-led ministry, we focus on investing in the lives of student leaders: equipping them, training them, and mentoring them as they take the opportunity to lead and make other leaders. Students will become the leaders of today and tomorrow, on campus and beyond. They will help shape society and the church.
That’s why we believe in equipping our believing students to be confident leaders who know the Word and can be a light in the classroom and beyond.
We do that through:
• Ensuring all programs have clear Biblical basis
• Mentorship and pastoral care
• FCSI trainings and seminars
• International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) training programs
• Conferences

Evangelism
At the heart of our ministry is the desire to be gospel witnesses in the Land and beyond. Students are equipped and encouraged to share their faith on campus, learning to integrate and express their Christian beliefs in the academic world. Students from local communities as well as from abroad are in a unique position to be “salt and light” (Matthew 5:13-16) on their campuses, reaching fellow students and faculty with the gospel.
